Digital citizenship is very important to have in the classroom. People rely more on the internet now than ever before. Many students think that what they read on the internet is automatically true. Students are not always taught what to do on the internet. They teach themselves and that might not always be the best thing. Teachers must show them what to do, especially when it comes to research online. As teachers, we must constantly practice digital citizenship and show the students so that when they are using technology, it is not abused. We must be a role model, guide them, and watch them when using technology.
